About
I lost track of most of my classmates for over 40 years, I attended an informal picnic organized by a classmate. On his "bucket list" was the desire to have a great 50th class reunion. About 80 classmates were at the picnic. 80 out of over 600 of us who graduated in 1965. (Now you know how old I am).
After the picnic, a classmate offered to try to compile a class registry from all of the various lists that other classmates had maintained over the decades, but the task was daunting. If only a single database could be created online where any number of classmates could help create a central class registry, the task would be so much easier. It would also remove the responsibility from one person and enable others to collaborate seamlessly.
Project EAHS65 was kicked off and a private portal for our class was created. Instead of trying to create a broad based social network, Project EAHS65 organically grew from being a simple private classmate database. to a private online system that enables our classmates to privately connect with one another, update their own information as it changes, and provide clues to the wherabouts of classmates missing for years.
I recently received an email from a reunion committee member who said that thanks to the "Clues" section, over 200 missing classmates have been located.
We began receiving emails and phone calls from other schools and classes. "Can you build a site like EAHS65 for us?" After a student, who would not be graduating for another 2 years asked how their class could begin to compile a registry, the idea for Reunion Track was birthed. A free PRIVATE online portal for classmates.
"Kick the tires" and see if it works to help you better manage your reunion lists and communications. It is a work in progress and we are always open to suggestions... And please do support our advertisers, they make this service possible.
